Read-A-Thon 2021
Our Read-A-Thon will be held from Monday, March 8th to Sunday, March 21st. Our top goal is to encourage our students to complete 7,500 reading minutes as a school. Our secondary goal is to raise $10,000 to support Lafayette Elementary. All students enrolled at Lafayette Elementary School are eligible to participate.

Guidelines
Read
Track your reading using the Reading Record. Only time spent reading outside of school can count as units. Reading time includes reading books or magazines, using a reading-focused software program, listening to books on tape, attending literacy tutoring, completing reading-focused homework, and listening to parents read aloud. Check out the Treasure Hunt in the Read-a-thon packet!
Donations
Financial contributions are not being counted towards prizes this year. However, if you would like to make a donation to go toward supporting a literacy tutor for Lafayette Elementary students, please go to this link. The PTO is also hoping to be able to support a math tutor in the future. Any amount helps!
Prizes
Submit your Reading Record and Donations by the deadline, March 29th. Home Learners, please email a copy of your completed reading log to lafayette.pta.fundraising@gmail.com. Prizes will be awarded individually based on the total reading points (one winner per grade) as well as to the classroom with the most reading points.
