Fundraising
The money our PTO raises provides important funding for students, staff, and our school as a whole. In addition to major fundraisers and special events, we have ongoing fundraising opportunities that continue throughout the year.

Major Fundraisers
Laps for Lafayette (October)
A fun run for the entire school! Occurring on a Friday during the school day in October, family and friends are invited to contribute funds to support their runners.
​
Read-A-Thon (January-February)
Students participate in a reading challenge with an annual theme - earning credit for how much they read. Family and friends are invited to contribute funds to encourage reading.

Cougar Carnival (May)
A FREE school-wide after school event for the whole family. Funds are raised through sponsorships and a silent auction. The event also includes food trucks, FREE activities, live music, and more!

Restaurant Nights, Community Events, and more!
Check the PTO Calendar throughout the school year for events we host with local restaurants, kid spaces and other community partners to raise money for the PTO while you eat out or get out to have fun!

Milk Caps for MOOLA - Longmont Dairy Caps
Collect your Longmont Dairy lids at home and then drop them off in a collection box at the entry of school. We'll receive 5 cents for each cap.

King Soopers Smart Shoppers Card (see illustrated steps below)
Log in to your King Soopers account and designate Lafayette Elementary in the Community Rewards section. Any transactions using the shopper's card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program, at no cost to you, and our PTO will receive donations based on your routine grocery shopping activity!

Box Tops for Education
No more clipping. Download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play, register to donate to Lafayette Elementary School and scan your receipts after you shop! Even if you shop online for groceries, you can still submit your receipts and earn Box Tops. You can even follow the earnings from our school on the App. It's that easy! Learn more.​
